Hajime Namiki Trees Blank Notecards, 20 Blank Greeting Cards with 4 Different Styles Review
Born in 1947 in Tokyo, Hajime Namiki uses traditional printmaking skills passed down over many generations to create his images of nature and myth. An underlying ground of gold or silver on handmade Torinoko paper adds to his prints' luminous quality, suggesting sunshine seen through foliage. For several years in the 1990s, Namiki demonstrated traditional woodblock printmaking in the United States as a guest of the Wisconsin Cultural Exchange Organization. His work has hung in the White House, as well as in museum, university, and private collections.
